New Maritime Patrol Helicopter of JMSDF(Japanese maritime self-defense face) has been developed as a alternatives of current one. This helicopter is operating at low altitude or in nighttime, and in these conditions pilot's workload becomes relatively high. In order to reduce pilot's workload and ensure flight safety, the AFCS (Automatic Flight Control System) of this helicopter has several additional auto flight modes comparing to its successor maritime patrol helicopter. The Ship Landing Assist System (SLAS) was developed. This paper describes the outline of SLAS of newly developed maritime patrol helicopter.
