Development of PVD Coated 1.5mm wide 2-piece Oil Control Ring

As the demand for better fuel economy increases, the requirement for piston rings to reduce tangential force and friction has been increasing. We, therefore, developed PVD coated 1.5mm wide 2-piece steel oil control ring. It shows very good conformability even in low tangential force. As a result, we have achieved the lowest level of total tangential force per cylinder, keeping ring performance, reliability and endurance.
