摘要

A wear-resistant copper alloy with excellent machinability and claddability has been developed for application to laser-clad valve seats. This alloy features an improved microstructure containing a large amount of very fine intermetallic compounds, which represents one of its major improvements. Wear amounts on the valve face have been reduced by applying this newly developed copper alloy to the valve seat. This has made it possible to eliminate the ferro-based alloy clad layer that was previously applied to the valve face.
