Development of the stick coil with an integrated igniter: cylindrical ignition coil installed into engine plug hole

We have developed the Stick Coil which is slender but powerful Ignition Coil with an integrated Igniter i.e. switching module. This Coil has dramatically improved flexibility in the engine head design, since it can be installed into engine plughole. The key techniques for realizing this slender cylindrical design are1.
