摘要

A hybrid deNOx system has been developed to reduce NOx emitted from diesel engines. The system is combined with an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system to reduce NOx especially at light loads. The system was installed in the exhaust system of a5.3 liter, direct injection diesel engine. Engine tests were carried out based on Japanese diesel 13 mode testing procedure. The results show that NOx emission can be reduced by 30% of the present regulation level of 4.5 g/kWh. It is also suggested thatparticulate emission can be reduced by about 30% using the hybrid system.
