Production line application of an ultrahigh-speed cam grinding machine

摘要

An ultrahigh-speed cam grinding machine has been developed and applied to the production line to support ultrahigh production efficiency. The grinding spindle installed on this grinding machine provides a grinding wheel speed of 200 m/s and powerof 70 kW. This is the world's first implementation of such a grinding machine. By doubling the material stock removal rate of conventional machines, this grinding machine demonstrates that process time can be considerably shortened, with the result thatthe required number of cam grinding machines can be reduced.
