Demonstrative study on a biomass gasifier internal combustion engine and generation system

摘要

The research group of the Collaborative Research Center of A. I. T. has researched and developed the biomass gasifier internal combustion engine system using woods and chaffs, etc. as a fuel. This report is focused on the results of the performance test from the system using formed saw dust as a fuel. The main flammable gases from the gasifier were CO, H{sub}2 and CH{sub}4. The engine system had operated stably for more than an hour with 10kg of formed saw dust and generated engine power of about 5.5kW and generator power of about 4.8kW.
