The efficiency of a solar hot water supply system is not stable due to location, installation conditions, weather conditions and load conditions. The optimum design of a solar hot water supply system for domicile use in many installation and load conditions was studied. Energy consumption reductions by solar hot water supply systems were calculated in difference cases of installation and load conditions. Both energy economic value (energy cost, ¥/kWh) and environmental economic value (CO{sub}2 emission reduction cost, ¥/kg-C) were evaluated in each case. As a result, optimum design values were calculated. Further, we found a useful method of obtaining the optimum design.
