Development of Titanium Coatings by Warm Spray Process

Thermal sprayed titanium coatings usually contain pores in the inter-particle regions and oxides formed during spraying. In our group, a new technique, Warm Spray Process (SC-HVOF), modified from the conventional High Velocity Oxy-fuel process (HVOF), has been developed to spray dense titanium coatings in the air atmosphere.
