In this study, we investigate a positioning system of Kilobots based on only signal intensities of inferred light. It is a method of position estimation forming a sensor network consisting of two groups of Kilobots, anchors with known positions and sensors with unknown positions. In the method, the signal intensities are related to the relative distance between positions. The positioning system is implemented into Kilobots to illustrate the validity of the method of position estimation by experiments.
