As kiwifruits is a kind of climacteric fruits, when is the proper time to harvest it is important. The purpose of this study was to estimate proper time to harvest kiwifruits by nondestructive measurements. In this research, fluorescence spectrum was used to monitor the fluorescence changes of kiwifruits peels and estimate kiwifruits harvesting date during the growing stage. The results showed that it was possible to use the excitation of 280nm and 340nm and emission of 322nm and 430nm to estimate the harvesting date. For this result, it provides a potential to develop a proximal sensing tool to estimate the proper time to harvest kiwifruit.
