A late binding mechanism of network variables between distributed controllers for supporting modularizing development of production facility

In recent years, many manufacturers are faced with realizations of rapid development of a new production system and shortening of a renewal period because of a change in demand structure, such as shortening of a product life cycle. As one of the trials that solve these subjects, we propose modularization of the production system and we developed the software logic controller which supports the modularized production system. The introduction of the network variable with a late-biding mechanism makes it easy to change the specification of the production system, and it helps the incremental development.
