Model predictive control for refuse incinerators

We propose a multivariable model predictive control system of recovery steam for refuse incinerators with a boiler. This system is able to control steam generation rate and boiler drum pressure stably, because it predicts their behaviors more precisely by oxygen concentration in the incinerator. Experimental results at a real fluidized bed incinerator show the usefulness of the proposed method.
