Wave propagation analysis in lens-antenna structure is required in designing different parameters for an elliptical Silicon dielectric lens antenna system. Traditional ray tracing techniques become inefficient in some practical applications due to large number of geometrical optics (GO) rays. In this paper vectorial Gaussian beams (VGB) replace GO ray tubes. A new method for decomposition of an antenna radiation field into VGBs is represented and by propagation of these beams, lens-antenna pattern is computed which is verified by measurement reports.
