Optimization methods for the automated electromagnetic design of inductively coupled rectangular waveguide filters

This paper presents a novel automated design procedure of inductively coupled rectangular waveguide filters. Several optimization methods required by this new procedure are briefly outlined. Two inductive filters with band pass responses of small and moderate bandwidths have been successfully designed following this procedure.
