The HITEC evaluation program for composite column wrap systems for seismic retrofit

Composite column wrap systems for seismic retrofit are currently being evaluated by the Highway Innovative Technology Evaluation Center (HITEC) in collaboration with the University of California,Sai Diego.The program is aimed at the performance-based evaluation of commercial systems so as to address the concerns of the user community through a comprehensive laboratory and field test program.This paper describes aspects related to both structural evaluation and durability,providing details of assessment criteria and recommended test methodology.Details related to the ongoing durability test program and planned field evaluations are also described.
