In this paper, the system design of a C-band microwave interferometric synthetic aperture radiometer(InSARan) is presented. This system has a 6-element thinned array with 11 analong omplex correlator to obtain the 11 visibility function spatial-frequency terms, which result in 22 digitally synthesized spatial resolution cell. So the synthetic apterture radiometer have a spatial resolution as one 22nd of that corresponding to one antenna element. The synthetic radiometer has a real aperture resolution cell in the along-track direction and has 22 synthetic aperture resolution cells in the cross-track direction.
