An Alternative Dewatering Press

This paper will focus on an alternative dewatering press to traditional filter presses. The presses that will be discussed offer metal finishers many advantages, chiefly, the production of cake solids of 50 percent or more - much higher than the 25 - 35 percent produced by traditional filter presses. The high solids produced will reduce the amount of waste the industry has to have sent to a landfill, as well as the disposal fees incurred.
