Based on chemistry and physical chemistry, a new water-treatment technology is used in Zhongyuan Oilfield in which the pH value of produced water is adjusted from weak acidic to alkali. The water treated with this method has a low corrosivity and comes easily up to the standard, which is very difficult for the traditional technology.
