From the viewpoint of total cost reduction,the structure of automotive seat cushions has been changing from the HOT or TDI HR molded foam on a spring support to deep HR molded foam (without spring support).The deep foam concept of an automotive seat cushion has been spreading.Furthermore,reduction of foam density and foam thickness are desired.In order to keep the comfort character of seat cushions,the foam itself must have comfort seating properties (static property),comfort riding properties (dynamic property) and high durability.The use of HR molded foam was acceleratively increased by the deep foam seat cushions which require more resiliency (high ball rebound property).
