The term "geometry" describes a discipline of science as well as the shape of a particular configuration, in the language of aerospace engineering. The title of this contribution is therefore ambiguous, but this is a welcome effect: Trying to place the discipline geometry into the position of mediating between important elements of the knowledge base of design aerodynamics and the practical applications, including knowledge transfer to the younger generation, is one message here.
