To develop an efficient parallel query services in distributed environments, we present a dynamic parallel query scheduling and an implementation mechanism for object databases on distributed shared virtual spaces. In a network-based computing environment, the query scheduling algorithm dynamically schedules independent subqueries and allows the independent subqueries to be processed in paralle. The query scheduling alogorithm doesn't limit the number of processors of a network, which maintains the flexibility of a network-based computing environment. In this paper, we present the ideas of design, give the dynamic parallel query scheduling algorithm, and describe the implementation mechanism for distributed shared persistent object stores.
