Expanding a paper presented at the West Penn Chapter APMI Fall/Winter Meeting, October 2012 on general Furnace Cooling, Methods and Diagnostic Techniques. Three common sinter-hard materials, at three different densities, using two different methods of rapid-cooling; Vari/Versa type rapid cooling and Hyper-cooling were utilized in this case study. The proposed paper will report on various Standard 35 properties with associated thermal profiles on the different materials, in addition to general furnace cooling, Methods and diagnostic techniques. Due to laboratory testing time, only preliminary data from previous tests will discussed in this paper: FLC2- 4808 and FLC2- 5208.
