Analysis of the mechanic injury accidents of port handling operation

摘要

Along with the rapid development of China's economy, the handling operations in ports are getting busier. Handling machine are increasingly becoming bigger in its scale and diversified in its function. The accidents associated with this type of machine are therefore exhibiting new features. This paper aims at undertaking a systematic analysis on machine related injury accidents of a port over the past ten years. it has come up with the major types and accident-prone machine types of handling related accidents, major ways of injury and underling causes responsible for those injuries. It tries to summarize objective and scientific evidences and contribute to improve the efficiency of port safety management in future.
