This paper discusses recent achievements in composite reinforcement upgrades of unreinforced concrete masonry (URM) structures which are of significant importance for both Army and civilian infrastructure applications. Composites offer a simple means of strengthening damaged structures or structures existing in high seismic zones. In general, composite reinforcements can also be used to increase the load carrying capabilities of existing structures.
