FM(EPC) hs been developed for 33 years in China.In practice,however,a rapid development was obained just after the Foundry Association Full mOld Casting Committee was founded at the end of this 80's (at that time only 18 members registered in the Committee),especially in the recent years.As shown in an incomplete statistic,at present there are about 11 groups who are workign on the research and application of this kind of new technology,which is about 6 times the figure when the Committee was founded,Among them are 14 high academies or research institutes and 15 companies or plants fro raw materials,auxiliary materials,and exclusive facilities.In 1997,the output of EPC cvastings runs up to 25,800 tons in China,as is 2 times as much as in 1995 (98
