Hypothyroidism in a galapagos tortoise

Hypothyroidism has been reported in Galapagos tortoises (Geochelone elephantopus); however, these reports are limited to clinical and histological findings. Normal T3/T4 values are available for the eastern painted turtle (Chrysemys picta) and the green sea turtle (Chelonia Mydas) but have not been reported for Galapagos tortoises.
