The thesis introduces a research result of improving precombustion chamber. Using H12v180 type diesel engine as a study object we have developed research in point of solving the problem of nozzle fatigue cracking. In the research we optimally designed out four types of new precombustion chamber. We employ the methods of decreasing fuel burnt in the precombustion chamber and decreasing theheat flux to nozzle, and therefore the nozzle temperature and the thermal stresses can be kept below levels, and the problem that wo9uld cause fatigue cracking can be solved, The research reaches the goals of raising the reliable performance of nozzle and raising power and economic performance of diesel engine.
