An Investigation of 2D Numerical Simulations of the DSCS in a DI Diesel Engine

摘要

This paper has presented an introduction of two 2D programs, RES-2D and RESD-2D, for modeling the in-cylinder processes of internal combustion engines. It has also introduced a new combustion system in DI DIesel engine, i.e. the double swirl combustion system (DSCS for short here after). The paper has given detailed simulations and analysis of the DSCS by means of RESD-2D program with the numerical results from the tests.
