The diesel engine is one of the most efficient thermal engine known to man.Because of htis it is widely used especially in applications where high power output is required i.e.for powr generation,vessel propulsin etc.In the last case,vessel propulsion, a great variety of engines are used ranging from low speed two stroke ones up to high speed four stroke diesel engines.
