In this paper, case which 25MW turbogenerator of JPC can't put into operating caused by oil film oscillation of the gear box high-speed bearing during test run was described. Based on the bearing's geometry, which indicated cylinder bearing substituted for original ellipsoid designed for manufacture error, the rotor-bearing stability under various loading condition was analysised. It was calculated: all the whirl threshold speeds for actual bearing are lower than thc set's rated running speed. So, we adjusted bearing clearance to improve the stability and put unit into use very good. It include a set of instability threshold speeds Nst and the bearing's characteristic under which various load and a few of bearing clearance values.
