Wave-Like Disturbance in Ionosphered During the Solar Eclipse in March 1997

摘要

Radio observations for monitoring ionospheric irregularites during the solar eclipse on March 9, 1997 were carried out with the Miyun Synthesis Radio Telescope(MSRT), Beijing Astronomical Observatory. A wave-like disturbance (Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances, TIDs) of phase gradient about 10deg/km was found. The disturbance oscillated for three cycles and started almost at the eclipse-biginning time and ended before the maxmium eclipsedepth time.
