The facilities of pulverized coal injection (PCI) for blast furnace at Baosteel are introduced briefly in this paper. It has been also described the practice of PCi operation, equipment and related topics. Due to the4 insufficient preparation capability of pulverized coal, the PC ratio is kept at the level of 120 kg/tHM at present. On the completion on expanding program of PCi for both BF No2, and No3, and the commission of BF No.1 after its relining, the PC ratio is expected to arrive at the level of 200kg/tHM next year.
