BIPM has worked with KPMG Consulting to study the impact of its activities in relation to the International Committee for Weights and Measures' (CIPM)'s Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). The study has revealed an approximate saving of over 81 M? per annum to the community of National Metrology Institutes which have been able, cost effectively, to establish mutual recognition of their calibration and Measurement Certificates by many more countries than would otherwise have been possible.
