This paper outlines the problems of field calibration support of DC/LF Multifunction Calibrators and offers a solution through the use of a rugged and portable transfer standard. The discussion includes the technical aspects and potential benefits of combining modern instrumentation techniques and data recording abilities to improve the quality of the measurement process while minimizing the dependance on skill level.
