Fuzzy logic and fuzzy expert control systems are currently among the most active research and development areas of artificial intelligence. Thanks to tremendous technical advances and many indus-trial applications developed by the Japanese, fuzzy logic enjoys an unprecedented popularity. The object of this paper is to describe a number of hardware implementations of fuzzy control systems. The paper is organized in five sections: Section 1 provides a brief Introduction to fuzzy control. Section 2 describes a real-time fuzzy control and tracker for a power system generation unit. Section 3 illustrates the experimen-tal experiences for real-time fuzzy control of a model train on a circular path. A fuzzy PI controller for a thermoelectric cell used for non-chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) air conditioning and refrigeration systems is given in Section 4. Finally, Section 5 presents and discusses some conclusions.
