A new method of comprehensive utilization of cobaltiferous slag

Concentrate linnaeite calcine was used as a stuff,and was leached with dilute H_2SO_4 to recover valuablemetals. Firstly, Fe~(3+) was removed from the leaching solutionby hydrolysis. Secondly, Co~(2+), Ni~(2+) and Cu~(2+) wereabsorpted by ion exchange resins. Thirdly, Cu~(2+) wasextracted with Lix984, and then Co~(2+) was separated fromNi~(2+) with P507. Finally, chemical products (CuSO_4?5H_2O,NiSO_4?6H_2O and CoSO_4?6H_2O ,etc.) were obtaineddirectly. It is a new method to recover comprehensively Co-Niand Cu from low content concentrate linnaeite.
