A SINTERED SLIDING MATERIAL FOR EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT EQUIPMENT IN AUTOMOBILE ENGINES

摘要

Improvement and development of the exhaust gas treatment equipment of automobile engines have been advanced by rapid strides in relation to global atmospheric problems. The parts used in this equipment are exposed to combustion products and heat contained in exhaust gases, therefore, it is important for them to have a heat resisting property and to be resistant to corrosion. Furthermore, high expectation has been placed on a sintered material capable of carrying out a material design which can not be done in ingot materials, because sliding properties have been required for sliding function parts. Here, the features and application examples of a newly developed sintered sliding part responding to such needs will be introduced.
