Template is a combination of special kinds of tasks which are predefined and performed. It can be easily applied and expanded. Now this kind of concept is introduced into textile machine design. Different types of textile machineries may have different characteristics. They should be used in different areas. But there are still some basic methodologies which are common to all textile machinery. In this case, template based design could find their way in these areas. A reasonable template can decrease a person's duplicated work obviously in design procedure and hurry up of the development of production. The Jacquard is a typical mechanism in textile machinery. In the weaving machine, flat knitting machine, sock knitting machine, and warp knitting machine the Jacquard mechanism is basic equipment. Though the mechanical design is different, the control object and control methodology is alike. It can use the template method to design the control system and hardware. This article presents a new method of design for control system based on template in textile machinery.
