摘要

Some steam lines in an oilfield of China burst three times from 1994 to April 1995. The steam lines were all used to transmit steam in steam-assisted recovery. Decarburization. intergranular cracks and high hydrogen content were found from the remains of the first two bursting incidents. It is determined that hydrogen attack caused the bursts and hydrogen attack prevention has been discussed. Some measures as lowering oxygen content in the feedwater, slow cooling or even tempering the butt welding are suggested.
