Effect of EDFA ASE noise on the performance of millimetre-wave fibre radio communication systems

摘要

Effect of EDFA ASE noise on millimeter-wave fibre radio communication systems was studied. Greater effect is found for higher EDFA gain. An optical filter reduces the effect considerably. Splitting loss after EDFA degrades system performance slightly.
