摘要

One of the important parameters in the reduction of green-house gas emission can be considered as the energy efficiency of the building. The building sector is constantly innovating in its use of materials with regards to sustainability. There is a need to use cost-effective, environmentally friendly materials and technologies which lessen the impact of a construction in terms of its use of non-renewable resources and energy consumption. For the reduction in energy consumption, thermally insulating materials can be installed inside the building envelope. It prevents heat loss and provides thermal comfort for the occupants. The introduction of the organic waste materials for thermal insulation is recent and little is known for their environmental effect in comparison with the conventional materials. Present study consists of experimental analysis to investigate the composition of wood powder and ash brick as a brick. Different modifications have been performed to determine the best methodology for the change in standard ash brick. The study has been concluded with the help of heat transmission factor and compressive strength.
