摘要

A new numerical method for solving unsteady incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is proposed in the present paper, based upon the use of the artificial compressibility technique applied at each time step. The Poisson equation for the pressure, obtained by taking the divergence of the momentum equations, is then discretized with respect to the pseudo time. The divergence-free velocity field is obtained when the convergence of the iteration process with respect to the pseudo-time is achieved. Using the present method, the unsteady incompressible viscous flow around a pitching elliptic cylinder and a rolling two-dimensional cylinder are computed.
