摘要

The use of N-dimensional space groups is proposed to develop a phenomenological theory of reconstructive phase transitions. The theory is illustrated from examples of the HCP-FCC transition caused by shifts of hexagonal layers. The symmetry classification of the state equations was made and a typical phase diagram was calculated for the distortions under considerations.
