Practical process to enter the European single market regarding the EMC directive: Conformity of products with the regulations of the European Union Case example: Conformity with the EMC-Directive

Uniform legislation and standards are necessary to allow the free circulation of goods within the European single market (EEA). Therefore, within the last few years, the Council of Ministers of the European Communities has issued a series of technical harmonization directives about placing industrial products on the market. For the implementation of these directives several committees of experts were instructed to work out standards to verify the conformity of the products with the directives.
