The need for a quality management system in small and medium sized business

The author believes that the application of the conceptual requirements of BS EN ISO 9000, formerly BS 5750, is an essential element of a successful management strategy, resulting in a competitive, cost effective, and hence profitable operation, for small businesses. The author discusses the benefits of implementing ISO 9000 in small business including improved operating efficiency, and market place advantages.
