摘要

In this paper a limiting fluid velocity possible to perform the steady state transportation of solid, called 'minimum transport velocity', is described from the viewpoint of low power consumption. In accordance with the experimental results, solid flow patterns and flow characteristics at the minimum velocity of coarse particles for a fully developed flow in horizontal pipe are clarified. Four kinds of coarse solids are used, together with three pipe diameters and one pipe length in the experiment.
