PERFORMANCE OF TRELLIS CODE MODULATION OVER RAYLEIGH FADING CHANNELS

摘要

Importance sampling is a powerful tool for increasing the efficiency of Monte Carlo simulation which are often used for the evaluation of the bit error probabilities of practical digital communications systems.This paper describes the basic principles behind this technique.In particular,it illustrates its application to coded modulation systems employing trellis codes over Rayleigh fading channels.
