摘要

A new ironmaking process named SC process has been developed. This process is characterized by the separation of such functions as reducing and smelting which are undertaken in two separate furnaces, a reduction furnace of a shaft type and a melting furnace of a cupola type, and by the use of pulvelized coal in a large amount combined with oxygen injection. Through the operation tests with a pilot plant of 8 t/d in production capacity, SC process has been confirmed to be appricable as a new iron-making process. With a three dimensional mathematical simulation model, a commercial plant of 2400 t/d having the following features was designed. (1) High productivity, being 2.5 times as much as blast furnace. (2) High heat efficiency, being competitive to balst furnace. (3) A wide use of non coking coal, being more than 60 percent of total coal.
