摘要

The purpose of this project is to characterise the specific and total activity of highly tritiated oil based waste streams including various desiccant materials used to clean up spillages to support the waste management decision and onward waste disposal routing decision(s). The waste is held within 47 stainless steel flasks. For the purposes of this project the flasks have been grouped as follows; 23 'liquid' flasks containing desiccant material and non-absorbed fluid. 21 contained 'free oil' and 2 an aqueous liquid of unknown origin. A further 24 'solid' flasks comprised oil absorbed entirely onto desiccant materials.
